Lots of the boys and girls have made promises for Lent. Some people have chosen to give something up while others have decided to help others out more frequently. Some of the most popular promises are giving up sweets and saying prayers more regularly. We have written out our promises and placed them on the sacred space in our classroom.
We studied the work of the American pop-artist Burton Morris. Then we created our own artwork in the style of Burton Morris with the theme of Valentine's Day.
Our school is taking part in a European project called the Blue Star Programme. The idea of the programme is to foster better understanding and knowledge of the European Union.
4th class examined Italy from many angles as part of their group projects. Children researched famous buildings, rivers, mountains, climate, population, fashion, cities and sport. They then typed up the information on the school laptops and presented it to the class. Well done everybody! In our class for the next few weeks we will be dropping whatever work we are doing at 10am and completing our 10@10 !
10 at 10 is 10 minutes of activity/excercise at 10am. We are aiming to become more active, fitter and healthier! We have also been trying some mindfulness …some people nearly fell asleep! We celebrated Safer Internet Day on Tuesday and participated in discussions and activities on how to keep safe when using the internet. We learned the rules of how to stay 'SMART' when online. Check out the posters we designed about internet safety!
