About our School
Annaduff National School is situated just behind the church on the main N4 in the village of Aghamore about 8 kilometers from Carrick on Shannon. The children come from a mainly rural area. The school was officially opened in May, 1986. A new playing field was bought and developed in 1992. In 2015 a new extension was built, the playing field was further developed and a new playground was built. At present there are 204 children in the school.

Vision Statement
Annaduff National School is a rural school with a Catholic ethos. We will endeavour to provide an environment that is structured and disciplined whilst being friendly and encouraging. Our hope would be that when the children leave the school we will have fostered in them the following qualities:

Aims
In order to achieve our vision we have drawn up the following aims:
Academic: Achieve the three R's to the best of their ability
Physical: An interest in sport and other forms of recreation. Good co-ordination.
Moral: Good conscience, Christian values, fairness and a sense of right and wrong.
Social: Integrate with peers, working as a team, confident, tolerant, sharing and a respect for friendship.
Emotional: Happy within themselves, good self-esteem, contentment.
Spiritual: Inner values versus material values, positive attitude to life, inner belief and resources to cope in difficult times and a sense of inner peace.
Aesthetic: Appreciation of fine things in life, school environment and nature.
Cultural: Foster a love of theatre, drama, music and heritage. Multi-cultural. Language.
Personal: Self-esteem, confidence, good hygeine, manners and listening skills.
Cognitive: Thinking skills and good judgement.
Imaginative: Creativity, curiosity, creative writing, drama and art.
