The lady from Green Schools told us all about biodiversity. We went on a mini-beast hunt outside and found all sorts of insects. We will be working on biodiversity for our Green Schools flag next year.

We had a wonderful afternoon of fun and activities with Michelle today. We learned lots of new games that we can play at home with our parents to help keep fit and healthy. Then as a final activity we played with a parachute! It was great fun and we really enjoyed it.
We had a very busy health centre in First Class for a few weeks. It was so busy teacher only got to take photos on one day. We were doctors, nurses, receptionists and patients. We had to write down our patient's name and symptoms. Then we had to take their blood pressure and listen to their heart and lungs. When we knew what was wrong we had to write a prescription. A lot of patients needed Calpol from the pharmacy! There were plenty of broken bones too and one day there was even brain surgery! We learned lots of new words about going to the doctor and everybody got to tell the class about what they did in the health centre. Thank You to everyone who sent in items for the health centre.
The children dressed up as their favourite characters from books for World Book Day. We were lucky to have two overall school winners in first class, Riley came second dressed as Dobby from Harry Potter and Megan came third dressed as The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
Our class winners were; 1st ~ Cian as Paddington Bear 2nd ~ Joel as Harry Potter 3rd ~ Kevin as the Farmer from Shaun the Sheep. |
