School Mass On the 19th December, 2016 we had a Christmas mass. Some people sang in the choir while others did reading. Ms Kielty accompanied the singers on the piano. It was a very nice mass. Credit Union Competition In November 2016, we did a colouring competition for the Credit Union. The Prizes were money. The Quote was “Dreams are made of this!” Aine came 2nd and Conall came 1st! Well done Conall and Aine!

For our Christmas trip we went to see Ali Baba and the 40 thieves in the Hawkswell Theatre, Sligo. We left on a big bus at about 6.00 and we got there at about 7.00. The play lasted two and a half hours. We got back at the church at around 11.30.
By Molly and Rory In November we had a non-uniform day to raise money for Annaduff Lip Sync. You could bring whatever amount you wanted, up to €10.00. We raised €506 altogether.
By Aaron and Niamh In November, 5th and 6th class went to Masonite for a tour around the factory. When we arrived a staff member brought us into a room and explained the work that they did in the factory. They showed us around the factory it was very cool because they used lots of machinery. After the tour they gave us coke and crisps.
By Niall and Finan (6th) The Right Note is a new book in Mrs Gunning's and Mrs Brogan’s classes this year. In it we learn how to read notes, we learn new songs and about new instruments. Some songs are in English and others are in Irish. We learn how to write new songs and we learn about what keys are high and what are low keys on the piano.
By Finan, Desmond, Aaron and Ben We made Hallowe'en Ghosts with cotton wool and tissue. We used string to tie them all together. We put little signs between the ghosts and they said "Boo!". We got a black marker and dotted them to make eyes. We hung them from the ceiling and on the windows. When we hung them on the ceiling, the lights went out!
By Molly, Clara, Laura and Callum During the month of October, 5th and 6th class wrote an acrostic poems. The theme was Hallowe'en. For example, you had to start the first sentence with the letter H, the second sentence you have to start the sentence with the letter A and so on.
By Eoghan and Niall. On the 11th of October 2016, 5th and 6th set off to go to a Mini 7s in the Leitrim Centre of Excellence. We didn’t have a bus so we walked. There were 6 teams there. We lost game to the Gaelscoil. Liam McNamee was in goals. Niall Quigley and Ewan Morgan were backs. Conor McManus and Tommie Taylor were in midfield and Daniel Lyons and Darren Cox were forwards. The subs were Adam Maxwell, Dylan Farrell and Conall Keane.

On the 25th of October Niall, Niamh and I did a power point on 2-D shapes. We each took a turn doing a shape it took an hour to do. We had 11 slides of shapes. We will be presenting it to the class. By Conor On Wednesday, Aine, Caoimhe, Callum and I did a power point on all 2-D shapes. We had a square, rectangle, triangle, semi-circle, decagon, heptagon and a octagon it took us about 35 minutes we did around 13 slides. It was a lot of fun. We presented it to the class. By Callum On Wednesday, Aine, Caoimhe, Callum and I did a powerpoint on all 2-D shapes,we had different slides like a square, rectangle, semi-circle, triangle, decagon, hexagon, octagon and a pentagon. It took about 35 minutes. We did about 13 slides. It was so much fun. We presented them to the class. By Ewan On Wednesday 25th of October, Adam, Leah, Ben and Aaron made a powerpoint about 2-D shapes. The ones we did were square, rectangle, oval, circle, triangle, hectagon, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, nonagon and decagon. We typed about their angles, corners and if they were a polygon.
